As a gastroenterologist, I initially created this app to help my patients. What we saw, was dramatic. Previously, we had a 14% inadequate or poor prep quality during colonosocpy which limited our exam. Afterward implementing this reminder system, we saw this number decrease to 3%. We also saw our no show rate decrease from 10% to 3%. When asked about it, our patient’s felt more cared for and engaged through the whole process.
